But as the exam got canceled he started preparing for the UPSC exam. He cleared the exam in 2005 and began his journey as IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. After the Cheating case of the 12th, Manoj Sharma failed to pass in the examination. However DSP Dushyant Singh motivated him to give up cheating. Later on he passed every exam with A grade and decided to become a DSP officer. However, soon his hope crashed down, when he came to know that the government had Banned the MPPSC test for 3 years. From there on he decided to take the UPSC Civil Service examination. At the end he failed in the clearing examination for the First 3 attempts. However, he worked hard and cleared the exam in his 4th attempt. And soon started his IPS training.
