Manoj Kumar Sharma, the IPS officer was born on 3 July 1975. He was born and brought up in a small village named Bilgram, situated in Madhya Pradesh. The additional Commissioner of Mumbai Police is also known as Simba and Singham. The Indian officer is Hindu by religion and Leo is his Sun sign. Manoj Kumar Sharma is 48 Years old as of April 2024. The officer of Maharashtra Cadre or group 2005 batch is a real life inspiration for the upcoming generation.

Early Life

Manoj Sharma is an inspirational person. Born in a middle-class family he has struggled a lot due to the financial crisis. The family struggled to provide a proper roof for their house due to financial issues. Despite this, he was just a normal boy who was not interested much in academics. Therefore, due to his less interest in studies he failed the 12th Exam. Well, afterward his journey from 12th fail to IPS officer is quite inspiring. 


To say he started his educational Journey from a local Madhya Pradesh School. He however successfully progressed till Eighth grade. And later on he cheated to pass 9th as well as 10th grade. Then, he attended Maharani Lakshmi Bai Government College of Excellence in Gwalior, There he cheated and passed the 11th grade examination. Whereas, during the 12th board exam SDM, visited the center due to which he was unable to cheat. As a result of this, he failed in the Examination. Moving Forward, he has a degree of B.A in Hindi and History.     


The career of the IPS Officer is well-settled and smooth. But, in order to achieve this he has his share of struggle. His career graph goes off like he started preparing for the DSP Examination. But as the exam got canceled he started preparing for the UPSC exam. He cleared the exam in 2005 and began his journey as IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. Currently, he is at the Additional Commissioner post in Mumbai Police. 

Struggle to Success

After the Cheating case of the 12th, Manoj Sharma failed to pass in the examination. However DSP Dushyant Singh motivated him to give up cheating. Later on he passed every exam with A grade and decided to become a DSP officer. However, soon his hope crashed down, when he came to know that the government had Banned the MPPSC test for 3 years. From there on he decided to take the UPSC Civil Service examination. At the end he failed in the clearing examination for the First 3 attempts. However, he worked hard and cleared the exam in his 4th attempt. And soon started his IPS training.   


Born in a Small Village in Madhya Pradesh, Kumar has never talked about his family openly. His Father, Ramveer Sharma is a retired Madhya Pradesh Government Agriculture Department Employee.  Alongside his parents, he has a Brother and a Sister as well. There is not much Information available about his Mother or any other family member. 

Relationship Status

The story of Manoj Kumar IPS and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi has gained a lot of fame. Their story is not only about love. It is all about Backing Each other, success, and Support. The power couple were introduced to each other during their UPSC coaching time period. Both became good friends and eventually fell in love. During the struggle, Shraddha motivated and helped him a lot. She even went against her family to support him. And neglected her family’s obligations. The Couple tied the Knot on December 5, 2005. And eventually, they led a happy married life ahead.


The Power couple were soon blessed with two Children. A boy named Manas Sharma and a girl named Chia Sharma. Well, both the children are too small and there is not much information available about them.
